The Boy in the Suitcase Competition + Wahlöö

The Boy in the Suitcase (Win an advance copy!)

This month will see the publication of the first novel, The Boy in the Suitcase, from a new Danish bestseller crime team Lene Kaaberbøl and Agnete Friis. The paperback will be out in January and its launch will coincide with a meet-the-authors event at Foyles in London chaired by Barry Forshaw and myself. In adition to this event, the first meeting in the new Nordic Noir Readers’ Group will meet later in January for a discussion about this novel.

The Nordic Noir Book Club has received four advance copies of the hardback edition, which we would like to offer to the members of the Book Club.

The Boy in the Suitcase Competition:

If you would like to be included in the draw for a copy, please send your name and postal address to nordic-noir@ucl.ac.uk. When entering the competition you will automatically be entered onto our mailing list for Book Club members. To be considered for the prize, you will need to provide the correct answer to the following question

What is the name of the translator who finished Bernard Scudder’s translation of Arnaldur Indriðason’s Arctic Chill?

Per Wahlöö

Sarah Death’s new translations of Per Wahlöö’s (‘the grandfather of Scandinavian crime fiction’) Murder on the Thirty-First Floor and The Steel Spring will be published on 15 December by Vintage. I guess it will be a good Christmas after all:-)
