Building Cabins, Building Character

If you came along to last week’s CABIN FEVER screening and talk at the Grant Museum, you may be interested in a related event that took place a couple of days later. After introducing us to the deliciously kitsch thriller De Dødes Tjern (The Lake of the Dead), Ellen was whisked off to Edinburgh to participate in the Nordic Research Network, a symposium for postgraduate researchers in Scandinavian Studies in the UK. As if hanging out with the skeletons (and the jar of moles) in the Grant Museum wasn’t enough for one week, Ellen then got to present her knowledge of cabin culture in Norway at the architecturally-fascinating Scottish Parliament. You can read a report on this event here.

We’ll be editing the sound and image files of our events over the last couple of weeks as soon as we can…stay tuned!
