New design for blog and web

As you can see we have changed the design of the blog and our website. Our very own professional designer, Essi Viitanen (PhD student at UCL), has created a perfect and very bloody graphic for our book club, which we use for our bookmarks as well. If you roam the libraries, cafes and booksellers around London – you may just be able to find a few bookmarks left.

Remember to visit our website: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/scandinavian-studies/scandinavian-crime

We are also on Facebook and Twitter – just search for Nordic Noir.

Yes, perfect and very bloody graphic… Talking about “bloody”, I managed to get hold of the first pages of The Leopard by Jo Nesbo, which is coming out in this country on 20th January, I believe. Beware! The first chapter is really quite nasty, reminiscent of Val McDermid’s at her bloodiest… However, the reviews seem to be quite good, so brace yourselves for it! In the meantime, it might be best to prepare oneself for 3rd February and delve into Hakan Nesser’s novels…

@Brigitte. Yes, I must say that I am tend to read quit quickly through the more firghtening sections of Nesbo’s novels, though I read him passionatly. Thanks for the update on the coming publication of the Leopard in English, we are working on pursuading him and his publishers to join a future book club meeting.
